How to Choose the Best FPV Goggles?
The FPV goggles you choose will influence the success of filming or race. The goggles that are not of the needed quality will not show you the objective picture even with the high-grade camera.

FOV, or the field of view, is how much of the surrounding world we can see. The degrees indicate that the image, for example, covers a 30° angle from the center diagonally with the general field of view of 180° binocular vision. High-quality FPV drone goggles have a large FOV. However, if it’s too wide, the FOV will make your eyes move to be able to view the whole screen. This may lead to a loss of focus. Signal Quality and Range
Receiver. FPV flight is performed by transmitting analog video to the receiver. Goggles may have it as an additional built-in frequency module. The built-in ones are rather simple, they have a basic functionality allowing you to choose and view the channel.
External modules are inserted into special slots on the goggles and can be used to improve their functionality. The frequencies available are 1.3 GHz, 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz, which is more popular.
Range. The higher range is associated with the possibility to add antennas. That’s because signal range can vary depending on the distance, especially when you broadcast digital video signals. Diversity is the feature consisting of two receivers that use separate antennas. It guarantees the highest possible quality of video and range. Using different types of antennas will only combine the advantages of both. You can, for example, use a circular polarized antenna, which works well around, and a patch-antenna, which gives a great range in one direction only.
HDMI port is helpful when you use goggles for games, simulators and watching films. It can increase the number of devices you can connect directly, including controllers. It’s also a great investment in the future since digital HD FPV became available.
Front camera. When you are absorbed in FPV, it can be difficult to navigate the environment. Some goggles come with a built-in camera. This will allow you to switch between FPV and regular aiming mode without taking your goggles off.
